We're Mort & Ray Productions and our specialty is events. For 42 years, we've been involved with over 1175 of New York's top events. These have included the Annual 52nd Street Jazz Festival with celebrities like Tony Bennett and Wynton Marsalis; the Feast of San Gennaro; the 20th and 25th Anniversary of Earth Day; the 1986 Public Celebration for the Statue of Liberty and the 1992 Columbus Quincentennial; the Annual Christmas In Little Italy with Robert De Niro, the Annual Chinese New Year Celebration and the 50th Anniversary Celebration of The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in front of New York City Center.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EVENTS NOW BEGIN AT 10AM AND END AT 6PM.

In addition we produce competitive eating competitions, auctions, art exhibits, the annual Mario Lanza Vocal Competition and Elaine Malbin Vocal Competition as well as musical and cabaret events.

1) New York State and City law require vendors to be licensed and to collect sales tax.  You are required to have a Sales Tax Certificate of Authority issued by the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance. You can apply online:  www.nys-permits.org.  Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

2)  Merchandise Vendors, once you have obtained your NYS Sales Tax Card, you can then register with Mort & Ray Productions and sign up for our Festivals.

3) Merchandise Vendors are also required to obtain a Special Events Vending License from the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs ($10 fee per month). New York City law requires that we have a copy of your license before the first festival you’re participating in.  Please either mail a copy of it to us, or email it to mortandray@aol.com or fax it to 212-944-0469.    PLEASE NOTE:  If you are signing up for more than one space, you must have a Special Events Vending License for each space that you purchase and we must have a copy of each.

4)  Food Vendors must have a Food Handlers Certificate from the NYC Department of Health by signing up to take the Food Handlers Course. Call 212-487-4104 (or 311 if you are in New York City) to find out when the course is given.

5) Food Vendors who have a NYS Sales Tax Card and a NYC Department of Health Food Handlers Certificate can then register with Mort & Ray Productions and sign up for our Festivals.
