1) New York State and City law require vendors to be licensed and to collect sales tax. You are required to have a Sales Tax Certificate of Authority issued by the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance. You can call 800-698-2909 or 518-485-2889 for information. You can apply online: www.nys-permits.org. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

2) Merchandise Vendors, once you have obtained your NYS Sales Tax Card, you can then register with Mort & Ray Productions and sign up for our Festivals.

3) Two weeks before the first Festival you sign up for, we will give you an official letter to take to the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs (42 Broadway) so you can get your NYC Department of Consumer Affairs Street Fair Permit ($10 fee per month).

4) Food Vendors must have a Food Handlers Certificate from the NYC Department of Health by signing up to take the Food Handlers Course. Call 212-487-4104 (or 311 if you are in New York City ) to find out when the course is given.

5) Food Vendors who have a NYS Sales Tax Card and a NYC Department of Health Food Handlers Certificate can then register with Mort & Ray Productions and sign up for our Festivals.

6) Three weeks before each Festival you sign up for, we will give you an official letter to take to the NYC Department of Health (42 Broadway) so you can get your Temporary Food Establishment Permit.
